In
the interest of the community at large and the general
public:
The Kentucky Society of Professional Investigators is a
new professional association in the state of Kentucky formed
to cultivate and advance knowledge of the science and
techniques of professional investigation. To maintain high
standards and ethics of the profession and to promote
efficiency of the investigator in the services he or she
performs.
To encourage, foster and develop relations of helpful
interest between members of the profession. AND, to this
end, and in furtherance thereof, to publish and distribute
or promote the publication of books, periodicals, treatises,
circulars and other papers relating to such subjects and
objects of the K.S.P.I. and to dispose of said publications
by sale or otherwise; and in general to do and perform every
lawful act and thing necessary to be done and performed in
furtherance of the objectives and lawful purposes of the
K.S.P.I..
To accomplish this
mission, K.S.P.I. meets its goals by:
Publishing "The Private Investigator", the official
online/hardcopy newsletter of the KSPI.
Offering information to the public on behalf of the
investigative profession.
Participating in the legislative process by sponsoring legislation to protect licensed investigator's access to public records.
Sponsoring recent legislation to protect investigators rights and to monitor and make suggestions for needed changes to the Kentucky State Licensing Board of Investigators.
Maintaining the high
standards set in our By Laws and Code of Ethics, embracing
the principles of professioal conduct with the
highest legal and ethical standards of practice.
Holding continuing education both live and online programs which offer state-of-the-art continuing education for investigative professionals.
